Veteran Program
The sacrifices of those who serve are hard to quantify. Traumas experienced by body and mind are carried into civilian life with great consequence. Every day we lose heroes who succumb to wounds beneath the surface. An average of 22 veterans commit suicide every day, and the most direct link to these suicides is PTSD. Countless others struggle with addiction, emotional deregulation, and substance abuse, all linking back to unresolved trauma.
At Emerald Springs, we focus on trauma resolution through traditional counseling services and Eagala, an equine-assisted therapy facilitated by a fully licensed mental health counselor and certified equine professional.
First Responder and Front Line Worker Program
Covid-19 has raised awareness to the critical role that this population plays in our lives every day. In this line of work, any day could present a life and death scenario for the worker or the community that they are serving. Unfortunately not every story ends well and these workers are faced with the trauma of losing those that they are trying to serve or serve alongside. This trauma can have significant long-term impacts on their life and health.
The Emerald Springs First Responder and Front Line Worker program was created to ensure that these individuals are able to receive the care they need now that it is their turn.
